A 13yearold girl and three women were killed on Saturday after a series of shootings at several locations in Memphis, Tennessee, US. Investigations are currently underway to find the suspect.
Police are investigating the shooting of a woman around 9:20 p.m. on Howard Drive in connection with two other fatal shootings that authorities say “involve the same suspect,” CNN International reports.
The suspect, identified as Mavis Christian Jr., 52, was “armed and extremely dangerous,” police also said.
According to preliminary information, “This was a domestic violence incident and the suspect is a known family member who fled the scene in an unknown direction in a white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu.”
Memphis Police Department spokesman Christopher Williams said a woman and a 13yearold girl were killed in one of the shootings on Fieldlark Drive. Another minor, aged 15, was also in critical condition.
The other shooting, about eight miles away on Warrington Road, claimed another life.
However, authorities did not identify the victims or provide any information about the relationship between them and the suspect.
Memphis police said local, state and federal authorities are involved in the search for the suspect.
