November is gray. Sadtounet. The news is heavy, difficult and also sad. Without turning a blind eye to wars, economic problems, health, education and everything that is not going well, you have to take the time to smile a little, clear your head and maintain balance. Certain shows have the power to take us out of our everyday lives. For a moment.
The cheater

Five players who know each other, annoy each other, mistrust each other and judge each other kindly. A host, Guy Jodoin, always smiling, good player, quick witted. Just pretty suspicious. And who likes to challenge his guests in order to get them a little off balance. A winning recipe for having a good time without having to worry. Unless you try to answer all questions adequately.

Funny videos have always been successful. With the advent of social networks, there are more of them than ever. Who doesn’t have videos of cats or puppies on Facebook that you can touch or amuse? Every week, Dominic Arpin compiles a list of what’s getting the most reaction and what you’re missing on the internet. The impressive, the unusual, the funny. We often laugh at other people’s misfortunes… as long as no one gets hurt.

The popular comedian and his team multiply concepts to cheer us up. The sketch of the teleprompter forcing answers on guests is hilarious. Firstly, because the writers make them say everything. We play with discomfort, with what cannot be said. Then because the guests can’t believe what we’re telling them. Then because some of them take the initiative and deviate a little from the game plan. The Appendeux songs are funny too.

Arnaud Soly and his loyal employees are completely distraught. They give us absurd sketches. We like those who are close to current events. Even those who parody the codes of our popular culture. We also like the boboche side of lopsided wigs. And we love the dropouts that remain during editing.

Between two sheets

Matthieu Pepper had a great idea with this concept. Everyone can see themselves in the mistakes of one of these couples. They all have moods. Thomas (Pepper) was looking for the woman of his life and was quite entertaining in his awkwardness. That hasn’t changed since he got a girlfriend. We also like his relationship with his parents (Martin Drainville and Micheline Bernard), who have a very confident teenage side. Also worth highlighting are Virginie’s (Karine Gonthier-Hyndman) paranoia and Antoine’s (Pier-Luc Funk) insecurity.

The game master

It’s hard not to laugh at the comedians’ mistakes in this adaptation of a British hit. The tests are completely crazy. Mona from Grenoble always tries to circumvent the rules, Tammy Verge amuses us with her openness, Phil Roy entertains us by complaining about obstacles, Marie-Lyne Joncas is incredibly competitive and Kevin Raphaël makes us laugh with every intervention he makes. Without pride, he shows a lot of self-irony. From reading the test to begging for points.

Infoman

For 23 seasons now, Jean-René Dufort has enjoyed reporting on political news like no other. He always finds the unexpected angle. The politicians themselves are afraid of it or use it to have fun and gain sympathy. The worst part is that Infoman’s information is completely true…

Conversations with my parents

In this audience favorite, François Morency addresses the relationships between generations with humor and friendliness. Favorite for Rollande (Marie-Ginette Guay) and Jean-Pierre (Vincent Bilodeau), two connoisseurs who have been busy with their 56,000 projects since their retirement. Van life, local politics, records, there are no limits to our enjoyment.

Nostalgia is always popular. It can move you, but it can also make you laugh. A trip into the past brings back memories and juicy anecdotes. Happiness is always there. We also like the quick wit and repartee of Mélanie Maynard, André Robitaille’s accomplice.

breath in, breath out

A duo of fake friends (Sonia Cordeau and Virginie Fortin) find themselves at a yoga retreat led by a shady guru (Édith Cochrane), where a lifeless corpse is discovered… everything is set for a… comic -Thriller. We like the frivolous side of one and the extremely controlling side of the other. The first always has her lip gloss with her, while the second always has a cigarette in her mouth. The first is friendly, the second is antisocial. We also have fun with the other participants: Sahara (Linda Malo), the esoteric, Manon (Chantal Baril), the angry one and Lou (Raphaëlle Lalande), the sickly shy one.

Bobos

Télé-Québec is re-releasing Bobos 10 years later and it’s beautiful. This series is nothing new as it is being revived, but why miss Marc Labrèche and Anne Dorval as the influencer couple of their time, trendy and snobbish bohemians who have no social conscience unless they do something good ? The Maxou have stunning looks, calculated insouciance and benefit from the delicious writing of Marc Brunet and Rafaële Germain. This series marks the debut of a young Léane Labrèche-D’or, who has already proven that she is made for humor.

About Antoine
Photo Didier Debusschere
Julie (Cathleen Rouleau) enters the life of Marc (Claude Legault), father of two boys, one of whom is severely disabled. Marc’s mother has ADHD and his brother and his ex are everywhere. Julie’s awkwardness makes you smile, but mother-in-law Margot’s (Micheline Bernard) energy is delicious. We love it when she is there and tries to make everything work.

The candidate

Doing politics is no walk in the park, and Alix Mongeau (Catherine Chabot) has to learn that the hard way. As a candidate elected in a community run by corruption and collusion, Alix wants to restore order and prove she’s no joke. Her conversations with her experienced and brittle colleague Salima (Inès Talbi) are amusing. I also highlight the performance of Hermance (Éric Bernier), who often makes us laugh.

The little life

The Paré family is back! 30 years ago she captured people’s hearts with her absurd humor. A dysfunctional but loving family. First of all, it’s hard not to laugh when you see her looks today. Môman (Serge Thériault) leaves, Pôpa (Claude Meunier) multiplies the conquests. Special mention goes to Lison (Josée Deschênes) as an influencer and Pinson (Marc Labrèche), who is still on the verge of a heart attack.

Bad weather

A newcomer to fiction after his notable performances in Bye Bye, François Bellefeuille dons his vet’s coat again in a comedy filmed on the Magdalen Islands. He plays Antoine Meilleur, a veterinarian who, in addition to his clinic, is also a real TV star. But his empire collapses when he makes a mistake on the radio. While he is forgotten, one of his ex-colleagues shines in his place.
