Two Mega Millions tickets, each worth $1 million, were purchased from supermarkets in Monmouth County in New Jersey for Friday’s lottery draw.

One was bought from ShopRite at Routes 36 and 71 in Long Branch and the other sold at Wegmans in Ocean Township, New Jersey lottery officials said Monday.

Both Mega Millions second prize tickets had five correct numbers, but not the Mega Ball.

Additionally, third prize Mega Millions tickets containing four numbers but not the Mega Ball were purchased at the following locations:

  • Foster Stationery on South Washington Avenue in Bergenfield (worth $20,000 with the Megaplier)
  • 7-Eleven on Schulyer Avenue in Kearny ($10,000)
  • KDM Mart on Route 9 south in Howell ($10,000)

No one in the country hit Friday’s $720 million jackpot, bringing the top prize for Tuesday’s drawing to an estimated $820 million with a $422 million cash option. It is possibly the 5th largest Mega Millions win and the 8th largest jackpot in US lottery history.

The Mega Millions numbers from Friday’s draw were: 29, 40, 47, 50, 57 and golden megaball 25.

The New Jersey second prize tickets were among seven sold nationwide. Two apiece were purchased in Florida and North Carolina, one in California and one in Michigan.

Monday’s Powerball jackpot is worth $28 million with a $14.5 million cash option.
