20-Year-Old Woman Whose 28H Breasts Caused Migraines and Pain Undergoes ‘Life-Changing’ Reduction

A woman whose 28H breast gave her migraines, prickly heat and numb fingers has undergone a “life-changing” breast reduction after being denied surgery for years.

Janelle Nelson, 20, from Alberta, Canada, now wears a size 28C after going under the knife in January. She used to experience severe chest pain, which made it difficult for her to stand up all day at work, working with disabled children.

She also struggled with pre-cut shyness due to the way people stared at her breasts when she entered a room.

“It literally felt like every time I walked into a room, it was only my breasts that came in and not me,” she told Jam Press. “It was something I got used to in high school and beyond, as it was always in the back of my mind.”

She said she experienced severe chest pain that made it difficult for her to stand up all day at work working with children with disabilities.

Nelson said she had “everything in the books” when it came to health issues caused by her overly large breasts.

“My shoulders and neck have always been very sore due to the pressure of the bra straps. My whole posture revolved around slouching to get some relief,” she recalls.

“In the summer, I sweated profusely under my breasts, which led to constant irritation and rashes.

“Oddly enough, my fingers sometimes tingled because the nerves in my neck were compressed, and it was very annoying.”

But her “most debilitating symptom” was chronic migraines.

Nelson explained that her shoulders and neck always hurt from the pressure of her bra straps, which caused her to slouch to get relief.

Nelson went under the knife on January 5 and is very pleased with the results.

“All the pressure and weight that was on me often led to these migraines,” she explained. “Eventually, I felt like my body was denying me confidence and limiting what I can and can’t do in my life.”

Nelson’s breasts became a problem for her when she was about 16 years old and tried to have surgery for four years.

“The process itself was very long for me,” she said. “In four years, family doctors and surgeons have refused me more than 10 times.

“The reasons why I was denied were always terrible.”

Nelson said she was told things like she was “too young” and “her hormones need to level out.” She was advised to “wait until [she] there were children.

She claimed that one doctor even asked: “What would [your] future husband thinks?

Nelson said she had been denied surgery 10 times over the past four years by doctors, recalling being told she was “too young” and that her “hormones needed to level out.”

One doctor allegedly asked her: “What would [your] future husband thinks?

“Every time I left the clinic after being turned down, I felt more and more depressed,” she said. “Eventually I stopped trying because I didn’t achieve anything and got tired of being locked up.”

It was her husband, Chandler Nelson, who encouraged her to try again after they got married because he could see the effect her breasts had on her.

She eventually found a doctor who was “ready to listen” and agreed to perform the operation, but she was told there was a two-year wait.

Six months later, Nelson underwent surgery after “waking up from her sleep one morning and feeling a strong urge to call the clinic.”

“My jaw dropped when they told me on the phone that they had received a new date list in the morning and asked if I could take a seat,” she recalls. “Nothing would stop me from agreeing to this surgery date.”

On January 5, Nelson underwent H-cup to C-cup breast reduction surgery without having to worry about an expensive medical bill due to Canada’s public health system.

She also struggled with shyness prior to her contraction due to the way people looked at her breasts when she entered a room.

It was her husband, Chandler Nelson, who encouraged her to try the surgery after they got married because he saw the effect her breasts had on her.

She eventually found a doctor who was “ready to listen” and agreed to perform the operation, but was told there was a two-year waiting list.

Six months later, Nelson underwent surgery after “waking up from her sleep one morning and feeling a strong urge to call the clinic.”

After more than two months, she is very pleased with the results.

“It has changed lives. I feel like I got a whole new body,” she said. “Finally I can jump and live like any 20 year old should be able to.

“I am no longer limited in my choice of clothes, and I can take any thing from the hanger without even trying it on, knowing that it will suit me.

“Part of the confidence I had before has absolutely exploded and I feel so elated knowing that nothing will ever hold me back from being my energetic athletic true self again.”

Nelson documented her transformation on TikTok last month in a video that went viral showing what her breasts looked like in certain tops before and after surgery.

The footage has been viewed over 19.9 million times and she received a lot of support from viewers in the comments.

Nelson has scars from her breast reduction, but the surgery has made her life better in many ways and she has no regrets.

“It has completely changed my life and I wake up every day much happier knowing that no part of my body is stopping me from doing what I want,” she said.

“I see your happiness, it makes me cry,” wrote one person, while another added: “Girl! I bet your back is happy too! Beautiful in both cases, but I’m sure you feel such relief!

“The fact that you can’t contain the joy of your videos after is so beautiful. So happy for you!’ someone else shared.

Nelson has scars from her breast reduction, but the surgery has made her life better in many ways and she has no regrets.

“It has completely changed my life and I wake up every day much happier knowing that no part of my body is holding me back from doing what I want to do,” she said.

“Obviously, I will always have scars from the operation, but they will be covered by bras. [and] bikinis and will never be seen by anyone unless you choose to.

“No fear or pain will ever keep me from having another operation just to feel and experience the relief I feel now,” she added.

“You deserve to feel comfortable in your body. You deserve to feel confident in the clothes you wear. You deserve to be happy.’
