A third-prize Mega Millions ticket worth $20,000 was purchased for Tuesday's lottery drawing at a supermarket in Sussex County.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Food Bag on Route 23 in Montague, lottery officials said.

Four numbers plus the Mega Ball were guessed correctly.

Tuesday's winning numbers were: 3, 18, 27, 29 And 64. The Mega Ball was 1 and the Megaplier was 2X.

While no one across the country hit the $114 million jackpot on Tuesday, four tickets were purchased for the five-number second prize. Tickets sold in Connecticut and Texas are worth $2 million each because winners spent an additional $1 on the Megaplier option. A ticket purchased in Arizona is worth $1 million and a ticket sold in California is worth $713,143.

California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed secondary prices offered in other participating states.

The odds of a $2 ticket winning the jackpot if five numbers and the Mega Ball are matched are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers , but not with the Mega Ball, wins at least $1 million.

Mega Millions drawings take place on Tuesday and Friday in 45 states as well as Washington, DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is down to an estimated $20 million, with a cash option of $10.1 million. A jackpot ticket worth $842 million was sold in Michigan for Monday's drawing.
