The 2022 NCAA tournament takes one of its final rounds on Sunday when the Elite Eight action concludes with a doubleheader on CBS. By Sunday night we have just four teams left, with regional champions from the Midwest and East taking on regional champions from the South and West to unite for this year’s Final Four.
Sunday’s table is peppered with underdogs vying for a spot in last weekend’s March Madness with two double-digit seeds – one in each game – and another unlikely contender at No. 8 in North Carolina. The real Cinderella hope comes in the second game of the night as Saint Peter’s, the first No. 15 seed to reach the Elite Eight, meets No. 8 seed North Carolina. It is the lowest seeded game in Elite Eight history. As usual, the Peacocks are big underdogs, but after winning this tournament twice as double-digits — the first team in tournament history to do so — smart money is on them to give UNC all it can handle.
Our experts below have dissected the chart, crunched the numbers and hit picks for both games below, both straight and against the spread. Stay with CBS Sports for the rest of the month for coverage of the NCAA tournaments until the end of the Final Four.

NCAA Tournament: Elite Eight-Picks for Sunday
(1) Kansas vs. (10) Miami (FL)
Sunday, 2:20 p.m. | CBS, March Madness Live: Kansas gave away a 13-point lead over Providence in the second half at the Sweet 16 before retiring late, proving they’re far from perfect on offense. Good enough on this end of the floor, however, might be all it takes to get Miami packing. The Jayhawks are good on defense, and their physical style and ability to play big or small gives me just enough confidence to get the number. Choice: Kansas -6

(8) North Carolina vs. (15) St. Peter
Sunday, 5:05 p.m. | CBS, March Madness Live: Saint Peter’s is perhaps the best Cinderella story in NCAA tournament history. He made history with his run. But … there has to be an end at some point, right? I think it probably ends here. UNC has so much more talent and firepower. The Tar Heels will give the Peacocks fits with their willingness to push the pace and size. If Caleb Love does anything remotely close to what he did against UCLA, the Heels will march into the Final Four with relative ease. Selection: North Carolina -8.5
