2024 NFL Divisional Playoffs Schedule Detroit Lions Time and Date

2024 NFL Divisional Playoffs Schedule: Detroit Lions Time and Date Set – Pride Of Detroit

Shortly after the Detroit Lions defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round, the NFL announced the dates and times of Divisional Round games next week.

The Lions will play in Detroit on Sunday, January 21st at 3pm ET on NBC.

We don't know who the Lions will play yet, but thanks to the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys' loss to the sixth-seeded Green Bay Packers on Sunday, they now have the second-highest remaining seed in the NFC playoffs. That means the Packers will face the 49ers (first seed) next week and the Lions (third seed) will have to wait for the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles (fifth seed) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (fourth seed) game on Monday night.

This is the first time the Lions have played in the divisional round since 1991. The 1991 team beat Dallas in the divisional round, but lost to eventual Super Bowl winner Washington in the NFC Championship Game a week later.

Regardless of the outcome, this will be the first time in TEAM HISTORY that Detroit will host two playoff games in one offseason. In the 1957 championship season, the Lions won the Divisional Round on the road in San Francisco before winning the title against the Browns in Detroit. Likewise, in 1952, the Lions hosted one game (the divisional victory over Los Angeles) but not the other (the championship game in Cleveland against the Browns).

Here is the complete NFL Divisional Round schedule:
