2024 will be the year of Trump

2024 will be the year of Trump

Rarely in history has the fate of the world depended on the fate of one man. But that is exactly what is happening in 2024. Whether we like Donald Trump or not, his re-election or defeat next November will decide a number of conflicts around the world.

Trump has made no secret of his intention to rule like a dictator. On the first day alone, he had the audacity to declare to solve immigration problems and increase oil production in the United States.

But who still believes Trump's lies? Who thinks they would be satisfied with just one day of dictatorship? How can a dictatorship, even for a single day, be justified in a democracy?

Here are five most likely global consequences of a Trump re-election.

1) Weakening of democracies

The introduction of various dictatorial measures in the United States would lead to pressure to adopt similar measures in other democracies. In France, Argentina, Italy, to name just these countries, various political parties may be tempted to follow Trump's example. Human rights would mean a step backwards.

The United States and the West in general would lose the moral high ground that had previously justified their actions worldwide.

2) Worsening climate change

Trump began dismantling environmental agencies during his first term in office. He should continue his destructive work in a second term. Trump bases his actions on the logic of short-term profit. This is ideal for oil producing countries such as India and China.

3) Increase in Russian threat

Trump is an isolationist. He clearly indicated that the conflict in Ukraine does not fall within the sphere of vital interests of the United States. However, without US financial support, it will be virtually impossible for Ukraine to defeat Russia.

From then on, Russia will rebuild its armed forces and threaten other European countries.

If Ukraine is not in the vital interest of the United States, what about the small Baltic countries? Actually from all over Europe?

4) Danger of collapse of global security

Trump wants to take the USA out of NATO. To the point that on December 15, Congress passed a law prohibiting such an exit unless it requires a two-thirds majority of both houses. But what would this voice be worth in a dictatorship?

NATO has been the cornerstone of all global security since the end of World War II. Without the United States, NATO is at risk of collapse. Regional wars in Europe or the Near and Middle East would become more frequent.

5) Fall of Taiwan

Such isolationism toward the United States would encourage China to attack Taiwan and further expand its power in the world. Didn’t Trump attack the “impure blood” of Asians and Africans? Why should Trump's USA defend countries in these regions?

Nothing has yet been decided for the elections next November. As the year progresses and whether the risks of a Trump victory are confirmed or not, international tensions will increase accordingly. Despite his problems with the law, Trump is currently slightly ahead in the polls.

How to prepare for a possible Trump disaster? The world is watching in amazement the rise of this deep narcissist. A patient who defies justice and is adored by half of the American population. An outsider who risks destabilizing the planet.
