236 Cuban migrants arrested in Texas in just 15 hours Cubano

In just 15 hours, Border Patrol agents at Eagle Pass Station in Texas detained hundreds of irregular migrants. Among those intercepted on US territory are 236 Cubans.

Eagle Pass is located near Mexico’s Piedras Negras in Coahuila, where dozens of people cross daily.

As reported by this border guard, the enormous number of arrests in such a short time is a matter of great concern.

Explaining the details of the matter, it was revealed that the first group of undocumented immigrants was found on May 7 just before 4am. At that time 126 people were captured. The majority of the group were traveling Cubans, along with Colombians, Peruvians, Venezuelans and Nicaraguans.

Another 131 immigrants were arrested in the morning hours. 87 of them had left Cuba. The group also included Venezuelans, Colombians, Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans.

Shortly after 6 p.m., 132 immigrants were arrested, including 57 Cubans, 37 Colombians, 21 Peruvians, 11 Venezuelans and 6 Nicaraguans.

In all cases, individuals were taken to the Eagle Pass Centralized Processing Center. There, their cases were processed in accordance with Customs and Border Protection guidelines.

“Even so, these numbers are just a fraction of the total volume our industry sees every day,” the Border Patrol posted on Facebook.

unstoppable migration

In recent weeks, police and military presences have increased on both sides of the Mexico-United States border. Despite this, the migration flow continues. One thing that worries Cubans trying to achieve the American Dream is the recent deportations to Mexico after arriving on US territory.

Despite responding to what is stated in Title 42, this does not appear to be happening in all locations, but it does occur in a few locations along the border.

The United States government is trying to prevent emigration to this country. However, given the widespread crisis in Cuba and other countries in the region, the goal does not seem fully achievable.

Between January 1, 2021 and March 31, 195,289 migrants were found in the border area known as Sector Del Rio alone.
