Media concentration affects democracy says Atilio Boron

251 Venezuelans returned from Peru via Plan Vuelta a la Patria

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean, Rander Peña, during his welcome at the Maiquetía International Airport in La Guaira state, told the press that the government was responding to the desire of expatriate compatriots in need to return to the country.

He recalled that President Nicolás Maduro guaranteed family reunification through this program and noted that it was included in the second line of work for 2023, which related to the extension of social protection.

He stressed that the plan is part of the protection that the Bolivarian Revolution has as public policy for any Venezuelan in or outside the country.

During the presentation of his 2022 memory and report to the National Assembly, Maduro mentioned the six basic guidelines for how to focus the efforts of the national will and conscience of the entire Venezuelan people in 2023.

The areas of work aim to consolidate economic growth with equality; expand social protection; expand the presence of popular power; and strengthen the overall security of the nation and guarantee justice.

Also make progress on Venezuela’s integral independence and decolonization, and consolidate the Great Fatherland.

A total of 9,761 Venezuelans have returned from Peru through the Vuelta a la Patria plan, and since its implementation in August 2018, there are nearly 31,000 beneficiaries from 25 countries, the source said.
