Moscow, April 21 (Prensa Latina) Experts from the Joint Control and Coordination Center of the Donbass ceasefire regime today confirmed the appearance of 26 civilians killed in Mariupol by bombing raids by the nationalist Azov regiment.
Representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reported via the Telegram social network that, together with specialists from the Russian Investigative Committee (RFIC), they discovered these bodies in the No. 4 care center in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
“The operational group of military experts of the DPR, together with representatives of the RFIC, is working to document the consequences of the armed aggression of the Ukrainian army,” reads the publication on the digital platform.
Likewise, Donetsk officials said that military experts also recorded and documented the crimes committed by Kyiv’s armed forces along 3 Ordzhonikidze Street, assuring that investigative work in the area will continue.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin that Mariupol was liberated on Thursday and the Russian army had taken control of the city.
The head of the military portfolio indicated that the remnants of the formation of nationalists present in the region took refuge in the industrial zone of the Azovstal plant.
In this regard, Shoigu assured that it will take Russian troops three or four days to complete work at the metallurgical plant, where Ukrainian soldiers and mercenaries are blocked.
