According to local authorities, a passenger train collided with a snow clearing machine in Chicago in the northern United States on Thursday, leaving dozens injured.
Thirty-eight people were injured in the accident, mostly passengers, firefighters said at a news conference Thursday afternoon.

Among the injured, 23 people were transported to hospitals and “two or three” are seriously injured, but none are life-threatening, Keith Gray, a rescue official, told the press.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. local time near Howard train station in the north of the city.
