On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, just after 1 a.m., a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont was arrested for second-degree assault following an incident at a Pāhoa apartment building.

At 1:10 am, Puna patrol officers were responding to a report of an attack taking place at a meeting at a private residence in the Leilani Estates subdivision in lower Puna.

In the course of their investigation, police found that the person, later identified as Ezra Miller, became angry after being asked to leave the house and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old woman in the forehead was hit, resulting in about half an injury. inch cut.

The female victim refused treatment for her injury.

Miller, who identifies himself as she/she, was subsequently arrested at 1:30 a.m. for second-degree assault after being found in the roadway during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea’au.
