Officials say four people were hospitalized after being hit by a hit-and-run driver near Guaranteed Rate Field before Tuesday’s game between the White Sox and Texas Rangers.
According to the Chicago Police Department, a driver was traveling eastbound on 35th Street at about 6:23 p.m. when he struck four people in a silver sedan. The driver then fled the scene of the accident, police said.
A 51-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man who were hit by the vehicle were taken to area hospitals in critical condition, police said.
A 24-year-old man was also hit and transported in good condition.
A fourth victim appeared to be clinging to the hood of the car as it fled onto the Dan Ryan and was later transported in a red condition (severe to critical), according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Three other people from the car were also taken to hospital in unknown condition.

According to Total Traffic, all local exit lanes are closed due to the collision.
Illinois State Police have closed local lanes of the freeway on the exit side and closed several exits near the ballpark.
The White Sox play the Texas Rangers in the second of a three-game series Tuesday night at the ballpark.
