4 Year Old Girl Forgot 7 Hours On The School Bus: Flora Dies After 3 Days In Intensive Care

Forgotten on the school bus and left in the sun for seven hours. This is how Flora, a four-year-old Hungarian girl, died in Tomajmonostora, a town east of Budapest. The little girl stayed in the minibus entrusted to her by her parents to take her to kindergarten on Tuesday, June 7, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Instead, the driver forgot about her and left her with a temperature nearing 50C in the middle. The vehicle was parked and locked in front of the school. When she was finally found in the afternoon, Flora was unconscious but alive, reports the Mirror. She was taken to hospital in an ambulance and treated in intensive care for three days. Despite the efforts of the doctors, who tried every possible way to save her, the little body could not survive the heat stroke and dehydration after seven hours without drinking in what had become a real oven.

Shocked by the school bus driver, the 56-year-old was taken to a facility where he is receiving psychological treatment. The family, who had hoped for a miracle to the last, closed in pain. “We just brought my son and daughter-in-law home. They are completely upset, we can hardly speak to them,” Flora’s grandfather told the Bors. According to the local press, the school refused to answer trivial questions about the safety of the young passengers on the school bus. One thing above all: because apart from the driver there was no staff to supervise the little ones.
