“There is no such thing as perfection, let’s be honest, we all have skin texture,” she recently told Jam Press, discussing the backlash she received.

“And it’s so unreal that we all think we’re made of robots or something, because we’re not.

“Makeup is not illegal, we enhance our beauty and we are all artistic, so why deprive us of this pleasure?

“Sometimes I can go from simple makeup to dramatic, so the comments of my supporters support me, they still support me to this day. I love them all, even those who hate.”

Patricia started her TikTok account in 2016 in an attempt to showcase her fun side, and last year she went viral after she posted a video showing off her natural beauty compared to what she looks like when she has a full glamorous face.

At the time, she knew what the term “cat-catching” meant—that is, cheating someone on the Internet about what you look like—but insisted it wasn’t her “mission.”

She soon began receiving a lot of nasty comments from online users who called her “ugly” and accused her of lying, and she admitted that she almost became “depressed” until she decided to adopt the title of “catfish”.

“People called me ugly or said, ‘What’s wrong with your face?’ Then they called me “catfish”, and I knew what it was, but it was not my mission,” she explained.

“I wanted to share my before and after videos because these words cut me for so long.”

Now, she is not bothered by haters and often posts videos showing off her ability to look younger.

“Words have stopped hurting me and my TikTok fans support me because they know what I’ve been through,” she said.

“I love catching catfish,” she also told the New York Post. “I can transform from a Mexican-Hispanic woman to a white woman if I want to. I love to shock people.”

Patricia explained that she buys makeup from Walmart for $50-$100 a month. Her favorite product is Patrick Starr’s One/Size Butter Silk Concealer, which costs $25.

“The best thing is when I post my videos and people see me without makeup, and then they see me with it on and think that I am a completely different person,” she added in the post. “They think I’m my daughter.”

Patricia said her 22-year-old daughter Pamela also encourages her to keep posting.

She said, “My daughter always cheers me up. She says, “Mom, you are such a beautiful person and I am so proud that you are my mother.” That’s what keeps me going.”
