The San Francisco 49ers beat the Detroit Lions 34-31 in the National Association finals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

This means that the Californian team will move into the Super Bowl together with the Kansas City Chiefs. The latter won 17:10 against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Brock Purdy's teammates certainly didn't make it easy for themselves, losing 24-7 at halftime. However, the quarterback's performance was much better after his return from the locker room, in particular he was involved in Brandon Aiyuk's touchdown in the third quarter.

The Lions more or less managed to slow down their opponents' ground game on the evening, but they had more difficulty defending in the air. Purdy finished the night with 268 yards.

His counterpart, Jared Goff, found Jameson Williams at the very end of the game for his second touchdown of the game, cutting the deficit to three points, but it was too little, too late. The Lions quarterback managed 273 yards through the air and also suffered two sacks.

For the home favorites, Christian McCaffrey stood out, reaching the Lions' end zone twice. Elijah Mitchell was the other author of a touchdown for San Francisco.

Jake Moody's field goals were also important in the game, as this gave the 49ers the lead for the first time in the game.

David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs also responded for the Lions.

The ultimate duel between the Chiefs and the 49ers will take place on February 11th in Paradise, Nevada.
