Brock Purdy doesn't care about records or awards, but he continues to break them and make NFL history.

The 49ers quarterback led the league in completion percentage (70.2) and passer rating (116.1) as San Francisco beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-16 on Sunday, and that accuracy had him on the verge of becoming one Join an impressive list that includes none other than franchise legend Joe Montana.

Purdy had six straight games with a completion percentage of 70 or better before Sunday and became the fourth quarterback in NFL history to do so seven straight times after completing 70.4 percent of his passes (19 of 27) against the Seahawks. met. Only Montana (eight straight games in 1989), Sam Bradford (seven straight games in 2016) and Drew Brees (seven straight games in 2016) have done that.

Purdy also led the NFL in touchdown percentage (6.9), yards per attempt (9.6) and yards gained per completion (13.7) in 12 games starting Sunday. He has four games with three or more TD passes and a passer rating of 140 or higher, tying Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers for the most such games in a single season in NFL history.

Since taking over as the 49ers' starter late last season, Purdy has a 15-3 record and has broken franchise and league records while making a strong case for this season's NFL MVP award. For now, however, he's just focused on winning games and that's exactly what he accomplished this Sunday.
