The NFL Combine came to an end, and many of the players the Cleveland Browns targeted for the draft put in impressive performances.
The NFL Combine was in Indianapolis last week, and the Cleveland Browns are likely busy working on their checkerboards as they prepare for the late April draft and try to finalize the placements of these players, many of whom are trying to impress every NFL team. right now.
It’s well-documented that the Browns have a big need for the wide receiver position as they head into the 2022 season, but there are holes on both sides of the line of scrimmage that the team could also fill in this draft.
The Browns have only drafted two wide receivers in the first round since 1999, and while they have a need there, I wouldn’t be surprised if they target the lineman first because the class of wide receivers is so deep this season. Cleveland may want to recruit more veterans through free agency. Chris Godwin, Mike Williams and Davante Adams have been linked as the free agency window opens next week.
While the NFL Combine doesn’t guarantee success on Sundays, it does give teams more statistics to evaluate and try to determine what might be best for their team.
With the need for both defensive and offensive lines, and the team even looking to find a potential quarterback who could first learn as an understudy, some players in the Combine likely stood out from Cleveland and other teams. Here are a few players who have likely made it to the draft boards, and the Browns will likely be in the mix to get a few of those players.
