50 Cent confirms he and Eminem are developing television series based on the critically acclaimed film 8 Mile
50 Cent and Eminem return to Detroit for their latest venture.
The 47-year-old rapper In da Club has confirmed that he and his friend and mentor, 50, are developing a series based on the critically acclaimed film 8 Mile.
After rumors surfaced online that the couple were “allegedly” working on the series together, the father-of-two took to Instagram to confirm the news on Friday.

“Yeah, and you thought I was messing around, I’m such a serious man! this is going crazy. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,’ 50 Cent (born Curtis James Jackson III), wrote in the post’s caption.
The image he shared showed a screenshot of an article published by Billboard reporting the news.
Earlier in the day, the star spoke about the development of the show in an interview with Big Boy TV.

He said a key reason he wanted to do the show is to make sure young kids learn about Eminem’s roots and impact.
“I want, I’m going to put 8 Mile on TV,” he said. “It’s going to be big. I am working. I have no duds. I’m hitting 100. I think it should be there for his legacy because it’s important to me that they understand.
He continued, “I think it should be there for his legacy, because if you don’t see it…it’s important to me that they understand, you know what I mean?”
