The week of July 10-16 will see several much-anticipated premieres by historical film lovers, especially for fans of the work of Jane Austen, author of Sense and Sensibility and Emma. Likewise, several films and series of different genres offer many hours of entertainment.

conviction
The last complete novel Jane Austen, “Conviction”She gets a new twist from the British theater director Carrie Crackell. The film of the same name dakota johnson she debuts as the “across time” heroine Anne Elliot Netflix on Friday 15th July and is still set in Regency-era England but with some distinctively modern flourishes and a subversively funny voice. A karaoke scene at the end of the film might also make you wonder why John Cho hasn’t been in a musical yet.
Bob’s burger
Take it from someone who’s only seen one episode of “Bob’s Burgers”: You don’t have to have seen the long-running series to enjoy the film, which debuts Tuesday Hi Y HD max. “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” finds the Belcher team (with all original voiceovers) at the end of the school year. The children are dreaming of summer plans and the parents are trying to save the burger shop from financial ruin when a skeleton appears in a hole in front of the restaurant and suddenly a riddle has to be solved. It’s also a musical.
black bird
Inspired by true events, Black Bird is a crime drama with an enviable pedigree: its creator is the novelist Dennis Lehane (“Mystic River” and “Gone Baby Gone”), whose television appearances include “The Wire.” The cast is led by Taron Egerton (“Rocketman”), when a golden boy became a convicted drug dealer. His chance of getting out of prison depends on getting a confession from a suspected serial killer (Paul Walter Hauser). the series of apple tv+, with episodes released between Friday July 15th and August 5th also has Greg Kinnear and in one of his last performances Ray Liotta.

For fans of Nathan Fielder and “Nathan for You,” the good news is he’s back with another piece of quirky comedy. Those unfamiliar with his work and open to something oddly insightful and sometimes disturbing can check out The Rehearsal, which opens Friday, July 15 HBO Y HD max. This time, Fielder’s stated mission is to help people prepare for critical events or decisions by guiding them through what awaits them, as directed by the master himself.
