A six-year-old boy was put on the wrong plane and landed alone four hours from his destination. An adventure that ended well and recalls the plot of the second episode of the famous Christmas movie Home Alone, in which Kevin gets lost in New York while flying to Miami with his family for the Christmas holidays.
Casper traveled from Philadelphia to Fort Myers, Florida, to visit his grandmother, but ended up in Orlando instead. When the plane he was supposed to arrive on landed and he wasn't there, his grandmother, Maria Ramos, panicked. “I ran to the flight attendant and asked, ‘Where is my grandson? Was it given to you in Philadelphia?'” But the stewardess replied that she had “no children on board.”
Luckily, Casper was able to call his grandmother shortly after landing in Orlando. However, it remains a mystery why the child was put on the wrong plane. Spirit Airlines apologized and offered to reimburse the grandmother for her flight to Orlando. “We take the safety and responsibility of transporting all of our passengers very seriously and are conducting an internal investigation. We apologize to the family for this experience,” Spirit Airlines wrote in a statement.
