Ultimately, it was U2 that would follow them to this day. It was their third album, War, released in 1983 and gave them a permanent place in the rock scene. Radiohead (1986)
JMTL
There is hardly a band more popular than Radiohead. The British rock group was formed in 1986 under the name On A Friday after the members met at private school in Abingdon, and attracted attention with their hit Creep. The Bends’ second album, released in 1995, was very well received. And it wasn’t over yet: OK Computer, which followed in 1997, was quickly considered a masterpiece. Several albums later, between pop, rock, electro and countless explorations, we still can’t say that the musicians lack momentum, quite the opposite. And there? We hope for more when we sample the first album by The Smile, A Light For Attracting Attention, the parallel group to Radiohead, notably composed of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.
Green Day (1987)
JMTL

The American group that would later become Green Day became famous for the 1994 album Dookie, which is the best-selling of theirs The Training. The musicians, who rebel at will, have won many admirers by speaking about fears, romantic relationships and the failures of society. Even if the success wasn’t always great, the album American Idiot got the machine going again in 2004. Following Father Of All Motherfuckers in 2020, Green Day is reportedly working on a fourteenth album.

After a split in 2005, the American group reunited in 2009 before further chaotic episodes occurred, including the departure of Tom DeLonge in 2015. After 10 years of silence and solo exploration, the band released the impactful album Disruption in 2022. And off we went again!
