Geneviève Schmidt discovered her passion for theater in high school. She then continued her studies in this field at Cégep before entering the national school.
2. She started her own theater company in 2000
In the early 2000s she founded the theater company Société Richard III. Schmidt produces several shows in which she also participates.

Geneviève Schmidt’s father Jacques died a few years ago from Alzheimer’s disease. It was probably he who passed his passion for theater on to his daughter.
A businessman and visionary, he was the owner and producer of the Théâtre des Cascades in the village of Pointe-des-Cascades in Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
