70 Palestinians were killed by Israeli bombings while waiting for help in Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 29 (Xinhua) — At least 70 people were killed in an Israeli bombing raid on a crowd of Palestinians waiting for help on the coastal road west of Gaza City on Thursday, according to Palestinian medical sources and witnesses.

Medical sources told Xinhua that at least 70 people were killed and another 250 injured in the Israeli bombardment.

They added that the dead and wounded, including many seriously injured, were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital, where there is a lack of medical equipment and capacity.

Witnesses told Xinhua that the Israeli army attacked a crowd on Al-Rashid Street, west of Gaza City, resulting in scores of deaths and injuries.
