A 73-year-old man was arrested by police on Monday Shoot and kill two women According to police reports, in the city of Hollywood in southern Florida.
The alleged author of Double murder was identified as Miguel Fiallo and held at the scene of the tragic event in the 1200 block of North 57th Avenue.
According to relatives, the victims were identified as Delia Mercedes Cuadrado69 years old, and Elizabeth Ann Conly62, 7News Miami reported.
Shortly before 5:00 p.m. this Monday, Hollywood police officers responded to the neighborhood after reporting the incident Shootand they found the two women with gunshot wounds. A sergeant removed Fiallo, who was walking in front of a car at the entrance to the home, and another woman, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, from the scene.
Cell phone video showed officers with rifles surrounding the home and using a stun grenade before entering the home.
During the search, officers found a semi-automatic pistol in the apartment where the man was renting, in the back of the house that the victims shared.
On Monday evening, investigators interviewed the woman who was with Fiallo and called 911 to report the shooting.
According to her statement, she and the suspect had gone to dinner in Hallandale Beach and arrived at the house around 4 p.m. While she was in the bathroom, she heard gunshots, grabbed her purse and cell phone and fled the apartment toward her car, according to the affidavit, which was consulted by the Sun Sentinel newspaper.
The woman told officers that Fiallo tried to comfort her as she cried in the car and told her he shot the victims “because we had problems in the past.”
She told police that the man was having problems with the owners over electrical and plumbing issues and that they were trying to get his move-out deposit back.
It is not clear whether the two murdered women were the owners of the house where Fiallo lived, the newspaper noted.
Fiallo was booked into the Broward County Jail on the charge Two counts of premeditated murder. He appeared in court this Tuesday afternoon and will remain in prison without the right to bailcourt documents show.
