The year 2024 promises to be rich in humor, with the return of veterans like Mike Ward and the first proposals of new faces of laughter like Mona de Grenoble. Here are eight comedy shows to put on your calendar.
Mike Ward – Modest
With nine Olivier Awards and a Guinness record set at the Bell Center when 20,986 people attended the taping of the Listen podcast, Mike Ward would have every reason to have a big head. However, he knew how to stay true to himself throughout his 30-year career. His new solo exhibition “Modeste” plays with this duality that possesses him: a fair amount of humility, but also great pride.
I'm basically a humble person, but sometimes I do crazy deals, I'm a big show-off and I say to myself: “Let's see, who is this character?” he explains in a press release. With that in mind, his sixth show, following Noir, will delve into both his private jet travels and his erection problems.
