The rapper conveyed his very personal and chilling take on Italy’s political scenario, in a sort of homage to classic horror films with decomposing monsters fully clad in crumpled 20-year-old uniforms and glittering coastal regalia.
Signed in the pictures by the director Matthew Tiberias, the living dead rising from fascism stagger lurch towards the artist, who, with a large hatchet in hand, is trying to push them away. But the black shirts come from everywhere and Kento must be able to hold out until dawn and improvise with whatever he finds without ever losing his vigilance. “When today there is no explicit reference to certain values of fascism, we simultaneously see some of its most despicable and grotesque aspects returning,” thunders the rapper. “It will be art and culture, but also irony and mockery, that will send certain trends back to the graves that history has reserved for them and where they will hopefully remain forever.”
