Don’t be afraid to be big! Lol This Thursday (19) Dakota Johnson made a very blatant joke involving allegations of abuse and cannibalism against actor Armie Hammer. During an event at the Sundance Film Festival honoring Italian filmmaker and director of Call Me By Your Name Luca Guadagnino, the artist mentioned the film’s protagonist when discussing the invitation she received to be in the storyline to play along
“Luca had asked me to play the peach but our schedules were at odds,” she joked. Then she fired the Hammer reference. “Thank god because then I would have been just another woman that Armie Hammer would have tried to fuck,” he said.
Dakota got a few laughs at first for the joke, but after a pause, she was applauded as well. However, the star took the joke even further. “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?” he added, referring to Guadagnino’s latest project, Bones and All.

In early 2021, the actor’s former partners shared accounts of the sexual and physical abuse they suffered at the hands of him during their respective relationships. Additionally, photos, videos and printouts of famous conversations in which he describes fantasies about cannibalistic practices have also been leaked online. Hammer pleaded not guilty but checked himself into a rehab facility in the second half of 2021 after months of evidence and shocking reports.

Dakota and Armie worked together on Wounds, a 2019 film. She had previously spoken out about the allegations involving actors she starred with, such as Johnny Depp, Shia LaBeouf and Harmmer himself. ” I haven’t experienced that firsthand from any of these people. I had a great time working with them. I am saddened by the loss of great artists. I feel sad for people who need help and may not get it in time. I feel sorry for anyone who has been hurt or hurt. It’s really sad,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
