The Bulles, Whiskey & Gastronomy Fair, presented on February 3rd and 4th, is moving this year to the new cruise terminal at Pier 30 in the Port of Quebec, which will accommodate almost twice as many visitors.
According to Yann Latouche, President and CEO of Even Touch, the event that started in 2015 has been significantly improved this year.
“Bulles, Whiskey & Gastronomy is now Canada’s largest tasting room for sparkling wines, spirits and cocktails. People attending the event will have access to 70 tasting kiosks, 350 products and also canapés prepared by the restaurateurs,” he said.
The activity will take on the appearance of a “trendy” happy hour. While “most fairs are much more corporate”, Bulles, Whiskey & Gastronomy takes on a more festive atmosphere, including shows by DJs, music groups and cooking and other demonstrations.
“It’s really very complete in terms of entertainment, always with background music. Decoration, sound and light techniques. Basically, we enter a universe that makes us think of a trendy 5 to 7 but very large stake in a space of 40,000 square meters with 200 professionals there to inform people and let them taste their products. »
Aside from the hiatus forced by the pandemic, the event has always sold out, according to Mr Latouche, attracting around 2,500 attendees each time. The new cruise terminal allows the organization to improve the next edition.
programming
The program is supplemented by the gastronomic component. There will be a dozen restaurants and caterers on site. A brand new Gastronomic Passport is offered at a price of $30 plus taxes and fees. This pass, which must be purchased in addition to the admission package, entitles you to appetizers, among other things, and offers a $25 promotional card valid from February 5th to May 31st at several restaurants in downtown Quebec.
Each bite will contain an alcoholic product donated by the exhibitors.
Various activities are also offered, such as B. Master classes where experts give their advice.
This fair is a partner event of Carnaval de Québec. Almost 75% of the tickets were sold in advance in November. Ticket sales will continue until the event.
