Sharon Osbourne broke down in tears on Thursday after confirming she was flying back to the US to help ailing husband Ozzy fight COVID-19.

Ex-The Talk panelist Sharon, 69, had moved to the UK to work after she was blacklisted in the US after a heated on-air debate with co-host Sheryl Underwood about race.

But she admitted her new role alongside Piers Morgan on his TalkTV show Uncensored has been put aside while she takes care of ailing Ozzy, 73, who is already battling Parkinson’s disease.

She said: “I’ve spoken to him and he’s fine. I’m really worried about Ozzy right now.

“Ozzy wasn’t diagnosed until the middle of the night in our time. I’ve spoken to him and he’s fine. I’m really worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve gone two years without him catching COVID, and it’s just Ozzy’s luck that it would be now.

However, Sharon insisted she would return to the UK to fulfill her role on TalkTV once her husband has recovered from the respiratory illness.

She said: “I can’t believe my luck. I miss the show and have only been there three days. I can not believe it. Three days and I’ll miss the show, but I’ll be back. i know i will

“You’ll see me back on the air in a week because I know we’ll get my husband back on his feet and get a negative test by next week.”

Sharon, who is credited with reviving Ozzy’s career as a solo artist beginning in 1979, admitted she was desperate to be reunited with her husband, albeit with the right health and safety guidelines.

When asked what she wanted to do first, she said: “Hold him and kiss him, but with about three masks I think. My family is my life.”

During the interview, Morgan praised Ozzy, calling him “one of my favorite people in the world” before asking about his “health wars,” as reported by the Mirror.

“He’s fine, he sends you his love,” Sharon began before recounting the last hurdle he has to endure.

“He has one more surgery to do and then he’s dying to go home,” she said in what appeared to be a hint that they’d moved back to the UK from Los Angeles.

While news of Ozzy revealing he has Parkinson’s disease made headlines in early 2020, the Black Sabbath star previously said he was first diagnosed in 2003, according to multiple publications including Kerrang and the Mirror.

But his more recent series of health problems reared its ugly face, beginning in October 2018 when he underwent surgery after contracting a potentially fatal staph infection after a manicure that caused his thumb to swell to the size of a lightbulb.

“It turned out he contracted three different staph infections, which started in his thumb and spread to his middle finger, according to Rolling Stone.

In February 2019, the No More Tears rocker was hospitalized with complications from the flu, leading to the postponement of the European leg of his No More Tour 2 tour.

Ozzy would eventually cancel the tour, as well as the rest of his 2019 concert dates, entirely after suffering serious injuries in a fall at his Los Angeles home while recovering from pneumonia. This fall actually caused him to re-injure his back, neck and shoulders, which resulted in him requiring surgery.

The “Crazy Train” singer-songwriter also long felt the effects when he crashed his quad bike at his home in Buckinghamshire, UK in 2003, resulting in a series of broken bones including his cervical vertebrae, collarbone and eight ribs.

Sharon later revealed that her husband stopped breathing after the crash and that his personal bodyguard at the time, Sam Ruston, resuscitated him.

This all stemmed from her public support for Piers Morgan’s negative comments towards Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, in March 2021, leading to a heated exchange with The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood.

That same month, a 2018 clip resurfaced from The Talk of Osbourne discussing the Duchess of Sussex’s skin color, in which she said Meghan “isn’t black” and “she doesn’t look black”.

Her departure, which followed a hiatus from the show for an investigation, finally came in late March 2021.
