“It was pretty intimidating … The lights were all off so they were all there when someone turned her on and she didn’t know what was going on and she started freaking out.”

Ben then detailed how he got down on one knee and didn’t know what to say.

“I didn’t plan what I was going to say. Like, I could say a few words about spending the rest of my life with you… she was freaking out, like ‘what’s up?’ ‘what are you doing?’” he said.

“Before I even got the ring out she said ‘yes’ and I got it out and put it on her finger.”

The prankster added he hired a private chef to cook the couple Japanese food in their hotel room afterwards because “it’s their favorite.”

“We’ve been together five and a half years, so it was about time,” he said.
