From February 13th, the next “sticky wave” of cutting-edge climate activists will begin in Vienna. The objective is again to paralyze early traffic.
After a five-day “surge” in mid-January, “Last Generation” activists want to stop traffic in Vienna for several days from February 13th by sticking to the roads. “The actions remain absolutely non-violent,” a spokesman told the APA.

January’s actions not only caused a lot of criticism from politicians, 52 arrests and over 200 complaints, but apparently also a lot of encouragement for the “last generation”. “More than 300 people have filled out our contact form, and 70 to 80 of them are willing to take to the streets,” the spokesman said.
The spokesperson left it open whether February’s stock will be similar to January’s. There was also no information about the exact duration.
