Celebrity chef Manu Feildel announces his 18-year-old son Jonti has signed with the South Sydney Rabbitohs
The teenage son of celebrity chef Manu Feildel has signed with the junior division of the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL team.
The 48-year-old My Kitchen Rules judge announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a photo of 18-year-old Jonti proudly posing in his Souths jersey.
“As a father, you experience few proud moments in your life,” wrote Manu.

“My 18-year-old son Jonti has finally joined the U19 Bunnies squad and this is at the top of my proud list,” he added.
“The ball is in his court now and I have no doubt about his future success.”
Fans of the Franco-Australian foodie flocked to the comments to congratulate Jonti on launching his career in professional rugby league.
Jonti previously played rugby league for the Roosters’ junior development team

“Congratulations, young fellow. The world is all yours and as big as you want it to be. Stay humble,” wrote one fan.

Jonti also played for the Clovelly Crocodiles
Jonti previously played rugby league for the Roosters youth development team and for the Clovelly Crocodiles.
Manu, a prolific social media user, rarely shares pictures of his son from his previous relationship with Veronica Morshead.
He is now married to Clarissa Weerasena, with whom he welcomed a daughter named Charlee Ariya in 2015.

He told The Daily Telegraph in 2019 he was now “too old” to have more children.
“I’m getting too old,” he said, adding that he and Clarissa had already talked about it.
“Having a child isn’t just having a child, it’s a lifetime,” he added.
“I’ve got two now, that’s a lot. It would be selfish to want another one and not have the time.’
