An important addition for the twins

The Minnesota Twins acquired veteran outfielder Michael A. Taylor from the Kansas City Royals on Monday night.

In exchange for the 31-year-old athlete, the Twins traded pitchers Steven Cruz and Evan Sisk, 23- and 25-year-old prospects, respectively.

Taylor will be in his 10th season in Major League Baseball after playing for the Royals and the Washington Nationals. Last season, he hit .254 in 414 appearances on the record and amassed nine homers and 43 RBIs on the fly.

Taylor, winner of a Gold Glove in 2017, will join an outfield already filled with the excellent Byron Buxton and Joey Gallo.

In his career, the Ford Lauderdale native averaged a .241 in 840 games. He hit 74 home runs and drove in 281 carries.

Twins general manager Thad Levine has had a pretty busy off-season. In addition to the surprise return of star player Carlos Correa, he traded Luis Arraez to the Miami Marlins for young pitcher Pablo Lopez.
