Egyptian medical and pharmaceutical industry increases exports

A statement by the head of the country’s pharmaceutical and medical industry export council, Maged George, highlighted the achievements made in recent years.

He explained that the institution plans to increase sales in Africa, an emerging market.

In this regard, he announced a new strategy to increase exports, which includes the establishment of logistics centers in Kenya, Morocco, Mauritius, Nigeria, Zambia and Algeria.

A few days ago, Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly announced that the country’s total exports would reach $53.8 billion in 2022, up 20 percent year-on-year.

For his part, Tarek El Molla, head of Oil and Mineral Resources, explained that $18.2 billion of the sum raised corresponded to sales of crude oil and gas.
