Sophie Prégent will not seek a new mandate at the head of the Union of Artists (UDA), a union that the actress has chaired since 2013.
“I’m one of those people who believe in movement, action and empowerment [sont de bonnes choses]. I don’t think it’s a good idea to take over the presidency of the Union des Artistes. It has to be constantly in motion, the other artists also have to feel challenged and get involved, so I set a good example. I will not remain in my functions and in my seat as President,” Ms Prégent said in an interview with LCN on Tuesday afternoon.
The one, who has been involved with the UDA since 2006, says she will “remain close to the Union” and will work with her successor. She even wants to remain on the board of the UDA as an administrator.
More details to come.
