The center of Now and the BHLS (High Level Bus Service) depot at Lareinty near Lamentin are hampered by wooden pallets.

Unions are demanding the opening of sectoral negotiations in commerce, wage increases, the allocation of Covid premiums and an end to the conflict at Carrefour Market du François through negotiations.

After the AMPI (Martiniquaise Association for the Promotion of Industry), it is the turn of the MEDEF (France-Martinique Business Movement) to denounce the day’s actions.

MEDEF Martinique claims the freedom to work and strongly condemns any action aimed at blocking activities that endanger the sustainability of our companies and their employees. The COVID-19 health crisis, which has been very present in the last two years, has not yet fully ended and our companies must return to normal activities today in a calm climate to secure their future. Any activity blocking cannot go in this direction. MEDEF Martinique therefore calls for a better awareness of the current economic reality, for which our companies urgently need resilience and composure.
