Jennifer Lopez shares a scary situation that occurred while filming her new movie, Shotgun Wedding, in the Dominican Republic.
While promoting the rom-com with six of her co-stars, including on-screen love interest Josh Duhamel, Lopez admitted to having a near-death experience when she almost walked off a cliff.
It turns out that Duhamel, who was in the scene with Lopez, came to her rescue by holding on to the leading lady for his life to save her from falling.
Scary: Jennifer Lopez, 53, revealed she had a near-death experience while filming her new movie Shotgun Wedding, where co-star Josh Duhamel, 50, saved her from falling over a cliff
The chilling story came as the cast sat down for a game of “Who’s Who” on BuzzFeed, during which they revealed which of them deserved certain titles the most.
After a few minutes, the group listed Lopez and Duhamel as “most likely a stunt on the first take.”
“Me and Josh got pretty good at it,” explained the 53-year-old Bronx, New York native, to which her co-lead admitted, “I don’t think I ever got anything right on the first take.”
“Really, I felt like we did pretty well,” JLo shot back at the couple’s on-screen defense, adding, “especially when we were handcuffed to each other and had to do all this crazy stuff.” Except for the one time I almost went over a cliff,” which piqued the interest of her castmates, who asked her to tell the full story.
While promoting the action-romantic comedy, Lopez revealed how she almost fell over a cliff during the “when my dress gets caught in the wheel” scene.
Directing her story to her castmates, JLo revealed that the freak accident happened during a pivotal scene “when my dress got caught in the wheel.”
“I wanted to go over there! And I look at Josh and I’m like, “Josh, please don’t let me go,” she added as she demonstrated the scenario by holding out her hand to Duhamel.
“He said, ‘I got you. You go, we go,'” she recalled.
Luckily they both survived. “It was bloody scary,” Lopez admitted.
Another scary scenario: During another promotional interview with himself, Duhamel revealed that he himself had a near-death incident during a break in filming in the Dominican Republic
During another promotional interview with himself, Duhamel revealed that he himself had a near-death incident during a break in filming in the Dominican Republic.
“I had a break. There was this bay near where we were filming and the waves were just amazing as they smashed against the cliffs,” the 50-year-old actor told Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall. “I was going to make a video and a rogue wave comes in and almost knocks me over the cliff.”
Duhamel believes that the jagged rocks in the area he was in at the time prevented him from “walking in the water” and eventually going over the cliff.
“I thought I was perfectly safe and all of a sudden bam,” he explained while his hands described the impact on his face.
