Lavallois, 35, has been actively wanted for more than a year for multiple serious sex crimes. In mid-February, the Sûreté du Québec orchestrated for the first time a major media campaign related to the Bolo (Be on the Lookout) program – meaning to look out – to find him.
The search paid off. Blake Charbonneau was arrested by Mexican authorities and taken back to Canada, the Integrated Pimping Squad (EILP) said on Saturday.
“Upon arrival in Toronto, he was arrested by members of the Toronto Fugitive Squad in connection with Canada-wide warrants issued in connection with the EILP file,” L’Escouade said in a press release. He was subsequently framed by investigators from the Integrated Pimping Squad for his return to Quebec.
The defendant will later appear at the Quebec Courthouse. He faces charges of sexual assault, sexual assault with a gun, aggravated sexual assault, obtaining paid sexual services including a minor, and pimping.
“Thanks to the collaboration between the Integrated Pimping Team, the Canada Border Services Agency and the United States Marshals Service, Blake Charbonneau was located and arrested,” the ‘EILP said.
