Eagles fans celebrate in the streets, climb greased poles after winning team’s NFC Championship

Philadelphia Eagles fans celebrated like they did in 2018.

After the Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 to win the NFC Championship on Sunday, fans poured out of the bars, restaurants and Lincoln Financial Field to celebrate on the city streets. Fans were seen climbing poles and causing mayhem as their favorite team won.

According to FOX 29 Philadelphia, fans climbed the poles in the street despite police greasing them to prevent climbing.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, police prepared for tougher action throughout the night.

Philadelphia was propelled to victory behind touchdowns by Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. All three players had rushing touchdowns, and Sanders had two of those results.

Hurts, an NFL MVP candidate, was 15 of 25 with 121 passing yards. He also had 39 yards on ground on 11 carries with one touchdown. Kenneth Gainwell led the Eagles with 48 in rushing yards. Sanders had 42 and Scott had 21.

DeVonta Smith led the Eagles with two catches for 36 yards. AJ Brown had four catches for 28 yards.
