To show your support for Gerard Piqué, A group of rappers decided to “defend” him and released a controversial song against Shakira. Defending the former footballer were Sansixto and duo Dife MMP & Willy D, little-known performers in the urban genre, who shared a replica of “Session #53” on YouTube. The new shot against the Colombian is titled ‘D-Clara’ and contains strong evidence against it. So far it has a little over 300,000 views on YouTube, but it has already irked the public in Barranquilla.

“Listen to Shaki,” the song begins, making it clear that the message is addressed to the Colombian singer. The artists then discuss the legal issues the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker is facing in Spain: “If you pay the treasury, you are left with nothing“, mentions one of the stanzas of the new tiradera. “Come on, explain, only you, a bitten cat‘ points to another of the verses.
As with the song “Session #53,” the rappers reference brands like Rolex, Cassio, and Twingo. They also mention Gerard Piqué and his new partner Clara Chía, who they defend: “I have ten Rolexes, I can throw one away. A little chia for breakfast. I’ve been with her since I was 21. I shot 22 with a Twingo. I have bingo, I walked like a boss,” says one of the verses. In another of the verses, the artists can be heard saying, “You moved the king, I’m not a pawn, since you haven’t, I’m better. I’m not going back, even if it costs a million.”
Throughout the tune, the rappers assert that Clara Chía, Piqué’s new girlfriend, is way better than Shakira: “It’s not a replacement, it’s an upgrade. You’re obviously worthless“. As if that wasn’t enough, Sansixto and the duo Dife MMP & Willy D started their song with a video similar to the Colombian with bizarre rap; in the recordings it can be seen One of the singers is wearing a Barcelona shirt with the former footballer’s name on the back.

Netizens defend Shakira
The video caused controversy on social networks and Barranquillera supporters did not hesitate to defend him. Netizens filled the clip’s comments with negative comments, assuring that the artists are getting involved in an issue that has nothing to do with them. Also, they made it clear that the song isn’t as catchy as the performer of “Te Gratulation” and Rappers are simply attached to their success try to appear in public.
