Horvat, 27, is on course to have the best season of his career with 31 goals and 54 points in 49 games so far. However, he appears to want to monetize his success, playing the final campaign on his five-year, $33 million contract.
For his part, Beauvillier has nine goals and 20 points in 49 games with the Islanders in his seventh season in the National Hockey League (NHL).
