Tom Brady tells Stephen A. Smith he’s “really looking forward” to taking on his 10-year, $375 million analyst role at FOX “whenever that day comes” as the QB, 45, remains very shy about his Future holds after Bucs exit the playoffs

Tom Brady has been candid with Stephen A. Smith about how he’s looking forward to working in sports broadcasting, but hasn’t offered a suggestion on whether he’ll switch next season.

Smith was Brady’s guest on the final episode of the Let’s Go! podcast and the pair discussed life as media personalities. Brady has a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX Sports when he retires – and that could be this year.

Brady, 45, is taking time to reflect on his future in the game after the Bucs were knocked out of the playoffs by the Dallas Cowboys two weeks ago.

“What I want to tell you is this,” said Smith. “Play football for another year, two years, whatever. You retire, it’s your business, we’ll celebrate you no matter what.

“If you come into this booth, Tom Brady, I’m here to tell you that you’re going to teach people a lot. And I’m not talking about football. If you’re in this booth weekly, you won’t just be throwing soccer balls anymore.

“You’re going to talk, and when you talk, trust me when I tell you, everyone will be listening. Make no mistake. You will be shocked at the profound effect you will have.

“Get ready, look forward to it because it’s going to happen.”

Brady picked up Smith’s words clearly and opened up about how he expects life as an analyst to influence him.

“I’m sure you feel great about that, too,” Brady told Smith. “Hearing this, you know as you walk the streets, wherever you are, I’m sure people really appreciate that you’re a part of what their tomorrow is. You raise them too.

“There’s so much to learn, there’s so much to teach, you know, it’s always evolving. Believe me, as much as you think I’m willing to teach people, I’m really eager to learn.

“I really want to learn from all the people I can talk to. I’m getting the opportunity to have a job in the future where I can travel around and learn from all the other people I’ve looked up to and admired and different organizations and different people.

“That’s why it’s exciting for me too. I feel like the opportunity to do this is something I really look forward to whenever that time comes.”

Last week, Brady said on his podcast that he doesn’t yet know if he’ll continue playing in 2023.
