Meanwhile, music bosses are making a bold offer to bring Beyoncé to the BRITs, Web can reveal.
High-level talks took place among Sony music executives and the superstar’s team to attend the February 11 event at London’s O2, where she was nominated for two gongs, including International Female Artist of the Year.
Beyoncé’s attendance would be a boost to the awards show, where she’s nominated for International Song of the Year for her single “Break My Soul.”
A music source revealed: “There has been some serious discussion at the top of the record label that Beyoncé should be a live presence at the BRITs – it would be a huge coup to have the world’s biggest superstar attend the ceremony.
Superstar: Music bosses are making a bold offer to take Beyoncé to next month’s BRIT Awards, Web can reveal
“Having been to The BRITs before, she sees the event as a pivotal moment in the music calendar and a way to connect with her European fan base.
“It’s common for some of the bigger acts performing at the ceremony to be wrapped up days in advance so a deal is still being negotiated and could go to the end.
“But there was a big push to get her to the ceremony and for her it would be the absolute dream scenario to perform.”
A source added, “The ceremony schedule is set, so if Beyoncé were to perform there would have to be a shake, but it’s more likely she’ll be there as a guest.”
Web has reached out to the spokesperson for The BRITs and Beyoncé for comment.
