Minh Chinh issued the admonition during a regular government-community meeting, where he asked to closely monitor the economic situation and key global trends, and to anticipate any situation and respond to it quickly and proactively.
The head of government stressed the need to implement monetary policy in a resolute, proactive, flexible and efficient manner and to ensure liquidity and monetary security as well as the system of credit institutions.
He also recommended adequately boosting credit growth, apart from resolving difficulties in real estate markets, and efficiently mobilizing and deploying resources.
On the other hand, he called for the prioritization of investments and the development of important socio-economic infrastructure works, for which municipalities should be more proactive in disbursing public investments and implementing national target programs. Other issues raised by Minh Chinh included the management of state budget revenues, the efficient use of the domestic market, and the diversification and expansion of export niches, particularly from the countries with which Vietnam has signed FTAs.
Finally, it called for promoting administrative reform and improving the business environment, reducing and simplifying regulations related to production and business activities, and promoting government (e-government), citizenship and the digital economy.
The day before, Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary-General Nguyen Phu Trong had also called for concrete plans to be developed to ensure the achievement of the 2023 goals, a year he described as a key year.
At a meeting of the CVP Central Committee Secretariat, Vietnam’s top leader called on ministries, sectors and municipalities to focus on industrial development, construction and epidemic prevention.
Also, support the key sectors directly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and global market volatility.
He also suggested applying the necessary solutions to maintain security and social order, strengthen the fight against crime, ensure compliance with social policies, promote the dissemination of the achievements of the country’s socio-economic development, and fight against distorting arguments of hostile forces. In the immediate future, Phu Trong said, it is necessary to remain focused on forecasting the international situation and possible consequential events so that appropriate countermeasures can be taken.
