Brooklyn Beckham has once again caught flak for his cooking videos after using store-bought broth to make scouse soup.
The son of David and Victoria Beckham, 23, has recreated his version of the iconic soup, which can cost as little as £2 a portion.
The dish favored by the people of Liverpool, which is why they are known as ‘scouser’, is no doubt also ruffled by his father David, who played for rivals Manchester United during his footballing heyday to have.
Brooklyn took to social media to share a video of his latest concoction, Scouse soup, which is made with budget-friendly ingredients like diced beef, potatoes, carrots and broth.
He penned the caption, “Scouses Soup x one of my favorite dishes” for the clip, which was dubbed Marvin Gaye’s How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).

However, fans criticized the recipe in the comments, saying he should have made the soup from scratch and added more veggies.
One wrote: “Cardboard goods? Don’t get me wrong, I use it all the time, but a chef would never do that.’
Another agreed, writing: “Looks good. But if you enjoy cooking, consider making your own bone and vegetable broth. And make everything from scratch.’
A third said: “Literally no Scouse… all Liverpoolers roll their eyes”.
While a fourth added, “Looks like inflation has hit Brooklyn hard with the lack of veggies.”
And a fifth wildly joked: “What’s next? Make bread by slicing bread and spreading it with butter.’
Brooklyn’s latest post came after he was branded “out of touch” by angry fans for using a luscious truffle ingredient to whip up a tagliatelle in his latest cooking tutorial.
In the video, Brooklyn also seemed to take inspiration from his dad with his top, as he wore a red England number seven shirt, which David himself inherited.

In the caption, he gushed about his love for truffles, which he used liberally to prepare the dish, writing, “There’s no such thing as too much truffle in my kitchen.”
But he was slammed for using the lavish ingredient by social media users, who claimed it was “untouched” amid a cost of living crisis.
One person commented on his post, saying, “I wish I could afford the idea of ’not having too much truffle’.”
Another raged, “We’re in a cost of living crisis, Brooklyn.”
According to 2021 estimates, the winter black truffle has an average price of $20.49 per ounce, while the burgundy black truffle is worth $24.93 per ounce and the summer black truffle is worth $22.57 per ounce. It is unknown what type of truffle Brooklyn used.

A third wrote: “He has to deal with his audience. Most people cannot afford truffles. I used to work as a chef, very basic what he does. I love seeing him working in a restaurant kitchen and seeing how he would make it.’
While a fourth added: “These people live in a different world that most people can barely afford right now and this kid is rambling on about truffles.”
In the cooking clip, Brooklyn was seen making a sauce from scratch using ingredients including flour, grated garlic, oil and cheese.
He then generously added slices of truffle to the creamy sauce, which he heated in a saucepan while he cooked his tagliatelle pasta separately.

He was then seen serving his meal in a hand-painted blue bowl, topping it off with grated cheese and truffles.
Brooklyn then sampled his Italian food and gave a thumbs-up as he appeared to approve of his final score.
He often shares his food creations on Instagram, but was recently accused of making a recipe that schoolchildren would learn in food technology classes.
Earlier this week, fans claimed his vegan lasagna was “simple” and “lacked finesse” when criticizing his take on the Italian classic.
