In nine weeks, Julie Snyder will definitively draw the plog of “La Semaine des 4 Julie”. His talk show aired on Noovo, which will then have more than 360 episodes on the clock, will not return next fall.
The presenter and producer revealed it live on her set on Thursday night as she welcomed friends Sophie Lorain and Alexis Durand-Brault, who are producing the ‘Mégantic’ series, which will land at club illico on February 9, and ‘Disobey: Chantale Daigle’s Choice, which will be available on Crave starting March 8th, International Women’s Day.
The 55-year-old host’s last meeting will air on April 6.
Julie Snyder, who says her “longest and greatest love affair” is with the public, explains on Facebook that she “takes[a] a break” at the end of the season “to come back with new projects” and “new surprises”.
The news didn’t go unnoticed, especially by Everyone’s Talking About host Guy A. Lepage, who greeted his friend on Instagram. He wrote: “We started television simultaneously at TQS in 1986. She has become very popular over the years, first as a presenter and then as a producer, both simultaneously or separately. Almost 40 years later, it’s still there. today [Julie Snyder] announced she was leaving her talk show in April. She has many other productions, it’s not the work that’s missing, but I know how she feels today. But “the show must go on” and tomorrow she will tear down more walls. It takes just as much courage and determination to start a project as it does to stop it. Go Julie, go XX”.
Since the beginning of her career at TQS – ancestor of Noovo – in the late 1980s, Julie Snyder has created the programs “Sortir”, “L’enfer, c’est nous autres”, “Le poing J”, “Vendredi it’s Julie” (in France ), “The Banker”, “Star Academy” and “The Indian Summer”.
