Dwayne Johnson is grateful his mother Ata, 74, survived a serious car crash on Wednesday (Feb 1, 23).
The Black Adam star posted a photo of his mum’s wrecked red Cadillac to Instagram a day after the damning accident. The photo shows that the passenger side of the SUV was badly damaged.
“Angels of Mercy were watching over my mother when she was in a car accident last night,” Dwayne Johnson captioned the photo.
“She will survive and continue to be judged. This woman survived lung cancer, a troubled marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver, and attempted suicide.
He added, “She’s a survivor in a way that makes angels and miracles real.”
Dwayne Johnson, 50, then thanked the Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department for helping him and his mother through this ordeal.
“Thank you LAPD and LAFD for being so caring and focused,” he wrote.
“Thanks for staying on the phone and talking to me about everything (sic). I have one relative left so if you still have your mom and dad hug them tight because you never know when you’re going to get that 3 a.m. call that we never want to get (sic).”
Dwayne Johnson’s father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson, died of a pulmonary embolism in 2020 at the age of 75.
