Awkward moment Jimmy Carr says The Project was better when Charlie Pickering hosted nine years ago: ‘This show used to be something’
Project hosts Sarah Harris and Waleed Aly were left speechless when comedian Jimmy Carr said on Wednesday the show was better with Charlie Pickering as host.
The British-Irish comedian, 50, was interviewed by Sarah when she asked him if he’d ever made a joke he regretted.
Jimmy jokingly replied that the only thing he couldn’t make fun of was that the show was better when Charlie hosted it nine years ago.

“Have you ever written a joke and then come back from the gig? [and regretted it]?’ asked Sarah.
“I think the only thing that’s wrong and couldn’t be talked about is that this show was better with Charlie Pickering,” Jimmy replied.
“This show used to be special, wasn’t it? When this guy was here, it was fire,” he added, as the hosts burst out laughing.
